Contact form and email contact

If you use the contact form or send an email, I process the data you provide, in particular your name, email address and message, to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on my legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

The contact form is provided by Formcentric GmbH, Schaartor 1, 20459 Hamburg, Germany. When this page is opened, a JavaScript file is loaded from form.formcentric.com. Technically necessary connection data, in particular the IP address, may be transmitted to Formcentric.

Data entered in the form is transmitted to Formcentric, processed on servers in German data centres and forwarded to me. Formcentric processes this data on my behalf as a processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Further information is available in the Formcentric Privacy Policy.

Storage period

Enquiry data is deleted once it is no longer required to process the enquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply. Submissions stored in Formcentric are deleted or anonymised in accordance with the retention and deletion periods configured in the Formcentric account.

GitHub Pages hosting and server log files

When you access this website, technically necessary access data may be processed, such as IP address, date and time, requested file, browser type and operating system. This processing serves the secure and stable provision of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

This website is provided through GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. For users in the European Economic Area, GitHub B.V., Prins Bernhardplein 200, 1097 JB Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is also a point of contact. GitHub may process usage and connection data. Processing in the United States cannot be ruled out.

According to GitHub, international data transfers rely in particular on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information is available in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

No analytics cookies and no tracking

This website does not currently use analytics cookies or web tracking. Formcentric may use only functionally necessary storage or security mechanisms to provide the contact form.

If you use the DE/EN language switch, your language choice is stored under the key “preferredLanguage" in your browser's localStorage and read on your next visit so your preferred language is preserved. This storage is strictly necessary for the function you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG) and only happens after your click. There is no analysis of this data; the entry remains stored until you delete your browser data. No cookies are set.

Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
